In March of 2003, the Village began contracting for solid waste and recycling services. Contracting for these services eliminates future costly equipment purchases, yet provides an equal level of service to our community.
Please pay close attention to the quantities. Excess amounts will not be picked up or allowed to be left at the curb. If you do have additional trash, above the four can limit, you can now purchase tags at the Village Clerk's Office for $1.00 per tag; one tag per can/bag.
The complete waste collection guidelines, including information on brush and tree limb collection, recycling, disposal of home health care waste, weight limits, holiday schedule and street collection days can be found by clicking the link below:

Think Green Rewards Program for Recycling
The Village of East Aurora is partnering with Waste Management to introduce a new recycling rewards program. As a community based program, Village of East Aurora residents can earn Think Green Rewards Points just by filling their recycling bins, as points are based on the total weight of recyclables collected each week in the village. Think Green rewards include coupons for discounted movie tickets, discounted meals and other local Village of East Aurora area entertainment values.
To register, go to ThinkGreenEastAurora.wm.com and sign up for this FREE service. Now start recycling...fill up your recycling bin with newspapers, magazines, junk mail, office paper, cardboard, plastic bottles #1 - #7, aluminum cans, tin/metal cans and glass bottles. The more you and your neighbors recycle, the more points you earn.
