Practice Safety

Cooking devices are often the causes of burn injuries and fires. Be careful that you do not leave pots and pans unattended on the range or in the stove. Be careful to keep towels and pot holders away from burners. And insure that all pot handles are turned in to the range top to prevent younger children from pulling them down on themselves. Make sure that, when you are cooking, you do not wear loose clothing that can come in contact with burners and ignite.
