The war in Iraq is 12,000 miles away. But the effects of that war may reach the villages and cities of our country. Every citizen must take responsibility for his or her own preparedness for a natural disaster or a catastrophe perpetrated by terrorists. The East Aurora Fire Department and the Town of Aurora Disaster Office have taken and continue to take steps to prepare for such events. We encourage the citizens of the Village of East Aurora and Town of Aurora to review the charts and take the recommended preparatory steps.
